As I was searching the web I found this great resource for parents is "The US Department of Education "has a page dedicated to resourses in spanish including a web pg where they can register and learn English absolutly free this is ideal for parent that don't have time to sit in English class due to the hours in which they are offer. Benefit to doing English online thay don't have to worry about care for their children. I check out the web site is very friendly and easy to use. The parent will need internet service and a microphone for the computer pretty inexpensive if they have all this. their demands met.Other cultures may have similar problems.Without confronting their respective school districts to obtain necessary services. I would like to obtain more information if you are planning to extend your advocacy to outside authorities and how?
Thanks Virgen, i did not know of this web site at all. You are right there are many parents who do not have the time to go to school to learn a second language at all. There are many centers who are willing to give computers to those parents who are willing to learn another language, and they can provide the microphone that most families required. The only thing that the parents need is, "Internet services." Most parents are able to pay for the internet, but there are centers who can willing to provide the internet services at the center at no cost at all.
ReplyDeleteI truly enjoyed reading your post and have to agree with everything you have said. It is extremely important to read with your children every night no matter how tired you may be. I have a five years old granddaughter, and her parents read for her every night.
