"Do not go where the path may lead; go inteads where there is no path and leave a trail." By Ralph Waldo Emerson

I love this quote because is about making a diference, about leading and not being afraid to stand for what you believe in and most of all advocating for those less fortunate. Is about leaving your voice and thought for other to hear and listen and leave their own little grain of salt.

The thing that inspire me to advocate is making that diference knowing that you are able to provide information, resources and voice for those less fortunate. My challenge would be not being able to accomplish the goals set in the plan. I think that when you energize and transmit that energy to other they are more willing to help you by becoming advocate themselve.

  1. I agree with you. Being an advocate is being able to accomplish your goals. You are willing to make a change for children and families, and I feel so lucky that we are having this opportunity to do it. Being an advocate is raising your voice and giving your opinion for a change. Good luck on your topic!

  2. I do not have a quote, but you are so right, "Making a difference and not being afraid." I have to agree with you, this is my very first action advocacy plan, and i had never stood in front of so many families that are depending on what i have to say. I know that i will do okay, and guess what,"I will be just fine!

  3. Dear Virgen I really enjoyed your quote about not following the path but making your own path and see where it takes you, so that you can lead others and they can also learn to make their own way!

  4. Dear Virgen, your quote really does inspire you. You see, you had some inspirational feelings within yourself. I am so glad that you are accomplishing your goals and that you will make a difference in the children and the families that you are currently serving. Being an advocate is, "Making your voice heard by those who are not able to speak up for what you are going to present.
